You go deep inside yourself to do so, and afterward there is often a haze. What happened? I did what? Your memories might be blurry, and you might struggle to process this momentous transformation that took place. I never want you to forget that first cry, those eyes looking around for the first time, that face on your chest.

As a creator, and lover of birth, I find it nearly impossible to JUST get photos- or JUST create a video of your birth. It’s too special. I can’t help but capture it all- in all of it’s forms. For that reason, I only offer a video + photo package. You deserve both- and you will cherish both (I promise)!

Get-to-know-you Meeting
In person, over coffee/tea or virtual if you prefer. Learn more about each other and about your birth, & certain moments you want captured or not. Energy in the room is important in birth, so I want to make sure we have already gotten comfortable in person.

Pregnancy is such a rare and sacred time. It is my passion to document this remarkable season of motherhood and to reflect back to you the incredible woman and goddess you are as you grow your precious little one. Each pregnancy has a unique story to tell and I would be honored to be a part of yours. Feel unsure about being in front of a camera?… that’s normal. Don’t worry, we’ll be laughing and getting in rhythm within the first 15 minutes. I give helpful tips for poses, facial expressions etc. so that you feel comfortable & empowered in your body.

I do not use flash photography or high contrast/saturation. I find it to be distracting during labor to both mom and those supporting her. My films and photos are warm, moody, but mostly homey- but with the high quality characteristics. I capture and edit every birth to feel very intimate whether it’s happening in fluorescent lighting in a hospital or dim lighting at home/birthing center. I love color and black and white while leaning on any natural lighting that I can.

You bet! I am on call for your birth at 37 weeks up until the moment you go into labor. For this reason, I only take 2 clients a month to be sure I am able to be there. In our consultation I will cover when to reach out to me during early/active labor so that I can be there.

Each mom has different levels of comfort when it comes to moments that are captured during labor/birth. This will be covered in our get-to-know-you meeting. Upon request I can take more graphic photos/videos of your birth and they will be included in your package for you to have. I will not include them in any content on my website or social medias. Although graphic, some images simply mirror the rawness and uniqueness of the moment.

Hospital, medicated, unmedicated, water birth, birthing center, at home, cesarian if I am allowed in the room. I love birth- no matter how it happens. It’s all beautiful and I capture it all.

Nope. I am highly skilled at hiding in the background and doing my thing. I know my way around a hospital room and know what to expect. And the same goes for a birthing center. I let your nurses/doctor/midwife/doula do their job while I do mine. When baby is born and things have settled a little, I may ask for mom and dad to snuggle in for a photo together with baby or grab a few close ups of your little one. But for the most part, birth requires no direction- it all happens so wonderfully on it’s own.

I mainly serve families in Orange County but have also captured births in Los Angeles and San Diego. Note: an additional travel fee of $100 will be added to births outside of Orange County to cover expenses
