Hey, I’m Ashley!

Nice to meet you

I’m Ashley Neelands. I was born in Orange County, but life has taken me to San Diego, Virginia, New York and now back to Orange County. Living in vastly different places and different cultures has really shaped me as a person. A lot of my adult life has been spent in ministry, serving others, and doing content creation. I also love doing endless DIY projects, surfing, camping, visiting coffee shops, watching football (Go Chargers), and spending time with my family. One of my favorite places I have visited is Indonesia, a specifically a little island there called Sumbawa. Life feels so slow and dreamy there- plus the people are so kind(and the surf is amazing).

I married my husband, Zack, in 2016 and we welcomed our daughter Juniper into the world in 2020. Though I had my birth during a tumultuous time in the world, I was grateful to have a photographer present to capture it. I’ve always been fascinated by birth, but it really intensified as I prepped for my own birth and watched SO MANY birth videos. Seeing other women journey through labor and birth with such grace, endurance and strength changed my life. Creating videos that capture a moment and tell a story is something that brings me so much joy no matter the setting. It’s a huge reason why the only birth package I offer is BOTH video and photo. I believe they both hold value, and the mom’s I have served have cherished reliving their experience through film & photo.
